The objective of this presentation will be to outline and elaborate on recent research establishing that imagery is a critical factor in cognition and language comprehension. The Dual Coding Theory, suggests that cognition requires an integration of imagery and verbal processing. Case studies, as well as theory and concepts of instruction utilizing imagery and language will be presented.
